I. Data Sources for the Two Sales Figures
 
1. Amazon Sales API Sales Figure
 
This figure is obtained via the Sales API interface and originates from the sales amount displayed in Seller Central under Business Reports. Since API data cannot be precisely broken down to individual orders, it cannot be used to instantly calculate product profitability and is for display purposes only.

2. Youmacloud Order Synced Estimated Sales Figure
 
This figure is calculated by aggregating data from the order list. Each order's product price is sourced from Amazon Seller Central - Transaction Details, and can directly be used for calculating profit and other metrics.

Mentioning this might lead some sellers to wonder, are these two sales figures different?
 
Yes, they are different.
 
For example, take a specific order 305-9763472-7369156 from the German marketplace. The sales figure from the Amazon Sales API is €7.99 (right side), while the sales figure from Transaction Details is €6.71 (left side). For the same order, there's a difference of €1.28.
 
This is because Germany has VAT. €7.99 is the pre-tax price, and €6.71 is the post-tax price. Therefore, we display two different sales figures. Orders from different countries may have discrepancies for various reasons, so we show you two sales figures to help you more clearly understand your actual revenue situation.

II. Youmacloud's Estimation Logic
 
However, due to data synchronization delays, for unshipped orders, also known as Pending orders, and for a period immediately after an order is placed, detailed financial items may not be available in Transaction Details. Therefore, estimations are made. For delayed payment orders and Cash on Delivery orders in the Japan marketplace, estimations may also occur.
 
So, how is this estimation calculated?
 
The Youmacloud system estimates based on the most recent completed order for the order's ASIN. Estimated data includes: Sales Amount, Amazon Commission, and FBA Fees.
 
If there are no recent completed orders, for example, for a new product that has never had a sale, the sales amount will be estimated based on the Listing Price from Inventory Analysis. At this time, because there are no Amazon Commission and FBA Fee data to reference, these two costs will be recorded as zero. Once the estimated order ships and Amazon has transaction details, the system will automatically correct the figures.

Looking at the order 304-4025180-6079545 in the image below, the most recent completed order at the time this order was placed is 028-1483939-6569168. Therefore, this new order will be estimated based on the costs of the order highlighted in red. That is, the Sales Amount, Amazon Commission, and FBA Fees for 304-4025180-6079545 are calculated based on the previous order's costs.
 
If you adjusted the price in between these orders, for example, from €6.71 to €10, the most recent order will still be estimated based on €6.71. Once the pending order ships, this sales figure will automatically be corrected to €10.

Determine abnormal return orders based on the number of days between the purchase and return, for example:
- A large number of orders occurring in a short period, with a time interval of no more than 2 days, may indicate malicious competition.
- For orders where the return interval exceeds 60 days, you can directly file a claim with Amazon.

As a seller, you need to be aware that Amazon has a policy called "Refund without Return." Simply put, buyers can receive a refund for the item amount without needing to return the product.
If your product primarily shows refunds rather than returns, it may indicate an anomaly, such as "薅羊毛" (wardrobing or exploiting the system). At this point, you need to be vigilant and be prepared to conduct order source analysis at any time.
 
Note: Do not select orders from the most recent period for this analysis, because for recent orders, all refunds will be shown as "refunds" before the buyer's return logistics are updated. Only when there is corresponding tracking information will the refund status change to "return."
